The Chairman of the Presidium of the National Union of Calligraphers Petr Chobitko, who is the creator of the first in Russia handwritten variant of the Constitution gave his master-class titled “How instruments influence expressive means of calligraphy”

e said during the work on the Constitution of the Russian Federation he had to change many pens – not a pen could normally function during the whole five-month long process of writing the Constitution. Can an ordinary man differ a part of the text written with a feather pen, and the text made by a metal pen? Is there any difference? What to chose – a brush or a pen? How can the instrument influence the result of the master’s work? And what happened if you choose the wrong instrument?
