On January 14 the Russian National Library welcomed the Grants for the Good exhibition. Every year the Library displays the books which were granted by the representatives of governmental organizations and NGOs, authors and publishers.

This year the exhibition demonstrated the book-plates executed by a young artist from St. Petersburg and the youngest participant of our project, Apollinaria Mishina. Among other exhibits the exposition displayed an amazing script pop-up book marking the 200th anniversary of Nikolai Gogol, the Nevsky Prospekt. It is an author’s copy of the book which original is on display at the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy. The first one-man show is an unchallenged and worthy triumph of a young graphic artist.

Bravo, Apollinaria!
