It has happened on the 10th of September! The III International Exhibition of Calligraphy is opened!
All the excitement, work on chinstrap, sleepless nights are left behind. Efforts of more than 90-manned team turned into a success. The presentation by Alexey Shaburov, General Manager of the Exhibition has taken place before the official opening. His speech was devoted to the calligraphy as an art which popularity is growing with each passing year.
About 200 guests attended the presentation. For many of them it was a discovery of the magnificent power of the calligraphy. We can proudly say that this project has come responsible for increasing popularity of this art here.
The official opening continued for all the citizens on the stage of Yaroslav Court and was declared by S. Mitin, Governor of the Novgorod region and Alexey Shaburov, General Manager of the Exhibition.
The joy gave way to the excitement as if only the hall would be strong enough for all who desired to be the first visitors of the exhibition. The end of the first day reassured the organizers to in the total success of this colossal project.
It is encouraging that other two exhibitions took place. Exhibition of Young calligraphers from St. Petersburg in Dialogue exhibition centre and a small but informative exhibition Russian calligraphy in the monuments of Novgorod in the public building in the territory of the Novgorod Kremlin, organized by the Novgorod State United Museum-Reserve, a partner of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy during its III International exhibition in V.
