The President of ICOM Russia to join the III International exhibition of calligraphy organizing committee

Vladimir Tolstoy, the President of ICOM Russia, Director of “Yasnaya Polyana” memorial estate and grand-grand grandson of Leo Tolstoy has confirmed his will to join the III International of calligraphy organizing committee.

Official letter justifying Mr. Tolstoy’s consent was signed soon after the official opening ceremony of the Balkan glory exhibit, held at the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia. Among the high-ranking quests there were Minister for Cultural Affairs RF A. Avdeev, Deputy Minister for Cultural Affairs RF, Co-Chairman of the III International exhibition of calligraphy organizing committee A. Busyghin, the Special Deputy of the President RF for cultural cooperation M. Shvydkoy, the Chairman of the State Duma Committee for cultural affairs G. Ivliev and the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Bulgaria in Russia Plamen Ivanov Grozdanov and other notables.

Thus, we state that the organizing committee of the III International exhibition of calligraphy to be held from September 10 to 12, 2010 in Velikiy Novgorod is completely formed.
